Playlist Creator Help
Playlist Creator allows you to quickly create custom playlists. You can save your playlists for later use or upload your playlists so that they can be downloaded to your iPod using birdJam Maker.
To get started, note the numbered and colored sections of Playlist Creator. You'll want to utilize each numbered section in order:
1. GREEN Section: Select a playlist as a starting point.
2. ORANGE Section: Check and uncheck bird species that you want in your playlist.
3. PURPLE Section: Preview your playlist.
4. BLUE Section: Do something with your playlist.
1. Begin by browsing playlists in the GREEN section of Playlist Creator until you find a list that is similar to the one that you want to create.
As you select playlists in the Green section, your browser is updated, checking bird species in the ORANGE list below the Green section.
2. Move to the ORANGE section of the page and check or uncheck any species that you want to add or delete from your list. After you get started here, do not select a new playlist from the Green section again as that will check or uncheck the birds in the Orange section and probably undo any changes that you have made.
You can also change the order, language or subset of species displayed in your list by selecting from the drop-down lists at the top of the Orange section of Playlist Creator.
3. Once you feel pretty good about your list, you can preview your list by pressing the Refresh button at the top of the Orange section of the page. When you press the Refresh button, your list will be displayed in the PURPLE column to the right of the Green and Orange sections of Playlist Creator.
4. Once you are satisfied with your list, move to the BLUE section. In the BLUE section, you can view a printable checklist or save your playlist for later use. (You will need to log in in order to save your playlist.)
Once you save your playlist, you can upload the playlist for use with birdJam Maker by first selecting your playlist in the ORANGE section of the page, then pressing the Up Arrow button beneath the playlist list. When you press the Up Arrow button, you upload your playilst so that it is now part of birdJam Maker's Downloadable Playlists. New playlists appear in the category 'User Contributed.'
