Dear birdJammers...Welcome to the latest edition of the rather “irregularly appearing” birdJam Online Newsletter! You’ll especially want to read about the FREE(!) new birdJam App for the iPod Touch and iPhone. There are lots of details below. birdJam 2010 SurveyThis link contains the results of the birdJam 2010 Spring Survey. We are so gratified that so many of you participated again this year and with the very positive inputs you provided. Within 15 minutes of sending out the survey on a cold January afternoon, more than 250 of you had completed the survey! Good that it was a cold afternoon because most of you seem to go birding at least once a week and spend lots of time studying your birds. birdJam on Facebook
If you wish to interact with us and other birdJammers on Facebook, we do have a birdJam page on Facebook. Or you can type “birdJam” into the search box in Facebook to find us. Or, go to birdjam.com and click on the Facebook and/or Twitter links. Direct links: birdJam on Facebook. birdJam on Twitter. Join birdJam Community on Flickr
Many of the people who are a part of the birdJam community have asked for a way to exchange photos they have taken birding. So, we’ve created a birdJam Community on Flickr. Just go to the birdJam Community Photographs group on Flickr to join and start sharing your photos!
birdJam Maker Replacement DownloadsIf your computer crashes or you want to update your birdJam Maker installation to the latest version, remember that you can always download the latest version of birdJam Maker from our web site. New FREE birdJam App for iPod Touch and iPhone
If you use birdJam songs/photos on an iPod Touch or iPhone, you can now download a new FREE birdJam App from the iTunes store. birdJam: The App is a companion to birdJam Maker and features a sleek, new interface, adds range maps, in bright, distinct colors, and a subtle new feature... a comparative quiz that really helps you learn bird songs. Jay and Charlie spent a huge amount of time designing the interface so that it is simple and easy-to-use even in difficult field conditions. birdJam: The App is FREE to all birdJammers, but you must have an iPod Touch or iPhone with birdJam bird songs/photos installed.
We added the range maps to the outstanding bird (and frog) songs and photographs, as essential information to help you quickly identify a species in the field.
We want birdJam to continue as the swift, easy to use tool it has always been, designed for birders by birders. Accept no substitute!
If you have only the East OR West birdJam region installed, you’ll get playlists, photos and range maps for all East AND West birds. But, you’ll only have songs for whatever regions you already have installed. Using “birdJam: The App”We’ve developed some “short and sweet” birdJam iPod Touch/iPhone Basic Operating Instructions for the birdJam App. Versions: Word Doc or PDF. Open and print these instructions and work through them (just one time, please!) so you will be quickly using all the new, cool range maps, functions, etc. birdJam Twitch
While you’re downloading apps, don’t forget about birdJam Twitch birdJam Support
We provide you many ways to get answers to your questions, including checking our birdJam Support page, Emailor by Phone With our best wishes, Denese, Jay and Charlie |
