Don't panic!

This is a fairly common situation, especially if the iPod battery has been run down very low. You simply need to "Reset" your iPod. To reset a Click Wheel iPod, do the following:

  1. Toggle the Hold button on the top of the iPod to orange and then back into the original position.
  2. Then hold down Menu and the center button at the same time for about 5-10 seconds until the iPod resets. That's it!
