Cannot get HeadsUp Warblers to sync on a pre-loaded birdJam iPod (FAQ)

Category: birdJam Apps

Last updated: 1/26/11

If you have a pre-loaded birdJam iPod (that we loaded for you) and have purchased another birdJam app, it is possible that the newly purchased app will not sync to your iPod.

The symptom of this problem is that even though you've purchased the new app and told iTunes to sync it to your iPod, the app never actually syncs to the iPod.

This is because when your iPod was loaded, we loaded our birdJam App (the app with the white icon & blue bird with headphones) using a generic iTunes account (currently flicker@birdjam.com). Since the birdJam app was loaded with a different account from the new account you've created to download another app (such as birdJam HeadsUp Warblers), your iPod has conflicting "app" accounts. To get rid of the conflict, do this:

On your iPod touch, delete the existing birdJam app (white icon with a blue bird & headphones). To delete the app, do this:

  1. Touch and hold your finger on the app icon until all of the the icons on the iPod start to wiggle.
  2. Tap the small "x" on the app icon.
  3. Tap "Delete" when asked if you really want to delete the app.
  4. Press the Home button to stop the icons from wiggling.

Next, try syncing your Apps, again, from iTunes to your iPod touch.

You'll also want to download the now missing birdJam app from the iTunes Store. It is free!

To download it, search for "birdJam" in the iTunes Store and then press "FREE" under "birdJam: The App - A Dazzling..."
