New FREE birdJam App for iPod Touch and iPhoneIf you use birdJam songs/photos on an iPod Touch or iPhone, you can now download a new FREE birdJam App from the iTunes store. birdJam: The App is a companion to birdJam Maker and features a sleek, new interface, adds range maps, in bright, distinct colors, and a subtle new feature... a comparative quiz that really helps you learn bird songs. Jay and Charlie spent a huge amount of time designing the interface so that it is simple and easy-to-use even in difficult field conditions. birdJam: The App is FREE to all birdJammers, but you must have an iPod Touch or iPhone with birdJam bird songs/photos installed. We added the range maps to the outstanding bird (and frog) songs and photographs, as essential information to help you quickly identify a species in the field. No, we didn’t clutter up birdJam with lots of other field guide information that could slow you down. We want birdJam to continue as the swift, easy to use tool it has always been, designed for birders by birders. Accept no substitute! Using “birdJam: The App”We’ve developed some “short and sweet” birdJam iPod Touch/iPhone Basic Operating Instructions for the birdJam App. Versions: Word Doc or PDF. Open and print these instructions and work through them (just one time, please!) so you will be quickly using all the new, cool range maps, functions, etc. |
Installation Instructions
If you have only the East OR West birdJam region installed, you’ll get playlists, photos and range maps for all East AND West birds. But, you’ll only have songs for whatever regions you already have installed. You can simply purchase and install the other region if you wish to have bird songs for all of North America. Of course “birdJam: The App” will NOT work on a Nano or Classic. birdJam SupportWe provide you many ways to get answers to your questions, including checking our birdJam Support page, Email or by Phone 1-800-403-5524. You can also read through past editions of the birdJam Newsletter for lots of tips and tricks to using your birdJam iPod. With our best wishes, Denese, Jay and Charlie |
