Song: Common call of female is a nasal oo-eek, oo-eek, especially when alarmed. Raspy whistle of males sounds like a rising jeeee-ib.
Call: Male courtship groups perform head-flicking and other displays along with high-pitched, raspy whistles which sound like a rising "jeeee-ib. When searching for a nest site, females make a soft and stuttering sound of oo-oo-oo-ah-ah.
