Shortcut: Sweet, sweet, sweet, sweet-than-sweet
Song: The male's song, often given from a high, exposed perch, is a bright, clear see-see-see-titi-see, for which there is a well-known memory phrase: sweet, sweet, sweet, sweet-than-sweet! Males have one predominant song pattern that they sing during most of the day. However, at dawn and during aggressive encounters, males sing a variety of other song types, often changing type with each new song.
Call: The common alarm call is a musical chip.
